I grew up in a small town in Canada, was home schooled and was given many opportunities that most teenagers would not have.

My uncle was an electrical engineer, that I spent a lot of time with, My oldest brother 13 years older than I, was a certified automotive mechanic, I would also help him after hour at a GMC dealership. When I was nearing the end of schooling I worked after hours at a metal fabrication shop. One of the owners was a teacher at a college in Alberta Canada. He taught me for three years, everything he taught at the college. My first job out of school was to work for a German engineer, designing and making specialty flour grinding equipment.

Through this combined experience, and post graduate studies, I found that it all could be put together to make a complete understanding of mechanical engineering, It made it possible to take an idea, and design every aspect of it, fabrication, mechanical and electrical.

I spent many years making automation equipment mainly in the automotive industry. In 2015 an opportunity came up to buy into a company, Roll Master, in Des Moines IA, that made custom agricultural wheels. I had built most of the equipment for the company and helped set it up in 2001. After Acquiring it, I moved to the USA to help run it. We made many updates, and brought almost every aspect of it in house, so it was very efficient. During this time, we found a need in the area for designing parts equipment, and general ideas without solutions. At the beginning of 2021 we changed the name from Roll Master to Leverage engineering consulting, so that we could focus more on helping other businesses with design or automation challenges, or simply an idea that they could not put into reality.

Now you can bring us an idea, or a problem, we can discuss ideas, model it in SolidWorks simulate it, FEA test it, produce machine code with GibsCam produce DXF for laser cutting, produce complete drawings, electrical schematics, logic for PLC specify components. Design and test tooling, Dies, fixtures.

We can also reverse engineer, obsolete parts, or hard to find parts. Scan, measure analyze material and provide you with all the info you need to have the part reproduced.

Through the many relationships we have made, we can also help you find the right source for fabrication, materials and components, or simply work with the client to make it within their own facility.
